We offer you the fastest way to get to Ilha Grande from Rio de Janeiro!  Get picked up in Rio de Janeiro in modern vehicles with professional drivers who will deliver you to a speedboat for a quick crossing to Abraao on Ilha Grande.

Our vehicles are new and equipped with air conditioning, wi-fi, security camera, satellite tracker and passenger insurance. Our drivers are experienced and will deliver you safely, comfortably, and quickly!

The shuttle will pick you up from hotels, hostels, and apartments located in many areas of Rio de Janeiro city (see below for pickup zones).  After all the passengers have been collected and the shuttle exits the city, you will be driven 2 hours south to Conceição de Jacareí, where you change for a speedboat for the final trip to the main pier of Abraao on Ilha Grande. The boat crossing takes around 20 minutes.


You have the option of choosing from 2 departures per day. The following pickup schedules are listed according to pickup zones within Rio de Janeiro:  


FIRST DEPARTURE 

Between 06:00 & 07:30 am


SECOND DEPARTURE 

Between 12:00 & 14:30 


You will be informed by WhatsApp of the pick-up time the night before the transfer when the logistics are set.

Downtown, Centro, Maracanã, Vila Isabel, Tijuca, Estácio

Lapa, Flamengo, Laranjeiras, Catete, Gloria, Botafogo, Humaita, Urca.

Santos Dumont Airport (SDU)

Copacabana, Leme, Ipanema, Leblon, Arpoador, Gavea, Jardim Botanico.

Rio International Airport Galeão/Tom Jobim (GIG)


The van will not pick up at the following locations:


- Barra da Tijuca,
- Santa Teresa (some places are ok, ask us)

- Sheraton Leblon, and any other location on Av. Niemeyer (can for 2nd departure),
- Vidigal & Sao Conrado,
- Location accessed by Ladeira Ary Barroso street on the hill of Leme*, 
- Rua Saint Romain & other streets accessed by it.
- Maracana Area (except from a meeting point at the stadium)
- Areas around the GIG international Airport,
- Others located out of pick-up zones or difficult for the van to access.

If staying in one of the above places, we will give you the closest meeting point.


IMPORTANT -  Although we do everything we can to stick to the above schedule, the reality of navigating in a big city means that there are possibilities of road delays which could affect the schedule on your day of travel. The above times are a guide only and based on daily averages rather than rigid schedules.


OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES: 

If staying in a hotel or hostel we ask you to be checked out and wait close to the entrance at the relevant time listed above. If staying in an apartment or private residence, we ask that you be ready to depart from the entrance of the building at the relevant times above.

Luggage allowance is 1 standard-sized suitcase or backpack per person and 1 carry-on bag per person.  The carry-on item needs to be able to fit at your feet or on your lap if no other space is available with the rest of the luggage.

The boat crossing to Abraao is included with your booking and the boat portion of the trip will be operated by a third-party speedboat ferry company.

There are no vehicles on Ilha Grande, and once your boat has arrived at the Abraao pier, you make your own way to your accommodation on the island. There are porters on hand which you may hire to cart your luggage to your hotel. 

Please be aware that there are no ATM machines on the island, so remember to take out cash before the shuttle arrives, because the driver will not be able to stop to use the ATM on the way.   Many shops, restaurants, and hotels on the island do accept Visa and MasterCard.
